To say that Bruce and Kathy Johns are excited about moving into Esperance is an understatement.

“We wish it was built already,’’ said Mrs Johns.

The couple were among the first to register an expression of interest in the project and have secured an apartment on the sixth floor.

“We can just imagine sitting on the balcony in the afternoon, relaxing with a cup of tea in a prime position overlooking the water,’’ said Mrs Johns.

“The views and the breezes and are going to be great.’’

The couple, who currently live nearby, have keenly watched progress on the site and wanted to be among the first to make a selection from the available apartments.

Esperance, with its easy access to wide range of exclusive resident facilities and its low maintenance lifestyle also impressed them.

“For us now, it’s about planning for our future,’’ said Mr Johns. “This allows to do that – with its easy access to bus transport, meals, good security, and 24-hour assistance at the press of a button.

“The high level of facilities it will have in addition to that all contributed to our decision.

“We discovered it through a write-up in the paper. Because we live in the area we’ve been able to keep a close eye on its progress.

“We did our research and as soon as expressions of interest in the apartments were called we rang up straight away and got in as quickly as we could.

“We are really looking forward to making the move.’’
